Today marks our 8th full day here. Strange.
It looks as though we might be staying at the farm for a little bit longer. The owners of the farm are trying really hard to keep WWOOFers there to take care of their animales. They´ve been sending us e-mails asking us to stay. We´re looking into staying at some other local farms for a little while, but we´re not really sure. Imagine that.
If we stay on the farm for longer I might have to get over my fear of horses. I´ve avoided them pretty successfully so far, but I don´t know how much longer that can continue. Ever since Cremella (the horse that bucked me off at the family reunion of ´98 in Wisconsin) I just haven´t been the same. I think that the horses on the farm can sense my fear.
Yesterday Lydia and I spent most of the day just sitting around, cooking, and quizzing each other on some espanol. We´re getting better. When the sun started to set we went and hung out on the swing that overlooks las montañas and sat there until the stars came out. It´s pretty ridiculous how much of a honeymoon we are on. Within the next few days we´ll take some good couple pictures with the sunset in the background. Or maybe a picture of us pushing each other on the swing. I´m pretty sure it will be a romantic picture either way.
I had another quality bonding moment with a bug yesterday. It all happened as Lydia and I were hanging out on our bed having a ridiculous conversation. I was wearing Lydia´s big dad sunglasses and my hair was all curly and out of control. Lydia said that I looked like Bob Dylan. Anyway, I was lying on my back rambling about something when this bug drops directly down from the ceiling into my mouth. It was yet another big beetle. I guess since we haven´t been eating meat I need to get protein from somewhere. Oh well. As Timon in the Lion King would say "Slimy, yet satisfying."
Here a few pictures from the WWOOF website of this farm... We didn´t take these.
The main house. This is where we hang out and cook meals.
La cocina.
The herb greenhouse.
One of my least favorite parts of the farm.
Our main food source.
The view from the road walking up to the farm.
That is all for now. Love you and miss you all.

hahaha Angie. In the mornings before we open up the zoo and walk around cleaning up, I can't help but sing the Lion King soundtrack in my head when I enter the Africa area. Especially the "pride of the plains"(lions and such). I'm glad you are doing well with your adventure.
I got your facebook message via email, but I can't actually access facebook from this computer because I'm at my sister's school right now.
There are a lot of things I want to tell you/hear more about your trip- but there's not really room here. I'm also considering opening a blogspot.
Anyway- love you-miss you
